BATANS to Chester and the surrounds. Sunday, September 15.

We are fortunate to be invited to view Colin MacDonald’s auto collection in Chester. He has an eclectic collection, ranging from a 1950’s Ford Prefect to a Second World War motorcycle and much more.

Schedule

• Meet at Chester, 10:30am at the yellow garage, 37 Valley Road:
  • There is parking on the streets nearby, and you may use the gym parking area at 133 Queen Street, which is only a 2 minute walk away.
• After viewing the autos, and chatting, and such, we’ll proceed to the Chester Golf Club for lunch at 12:00 noon:
  • Arrangements will be made to have a separate parking area for the BATANS group, more on that later.
  • This will be a buffet style lunch, featuring haddock chowder, also a turkey vegetable soup or similar and assorted sandwiches, coffee and tea for $24 per person. A cash bar will be available.
• After lunch, at approximately 1:30pm, we will have a drive around the Aspotogan Peninsula.
  • A stop at the Bayswater Beach Park is a possibility and there is the Swiss Air 111 memorial at Bayswater as well.

The event ends when we get to Highway 3 near Hubbards and we each go our own ways.

• Capacity for the event is 56 members and their guests.
