British Motoring Festival 2022

There will be a British Motoring Festival at Kings-Edgehill School in Windsor this year.  It will be a simpler version than we normally hold, it’s just a one-day event on Saturday July 16, there will be no registration fee.  It will be a "private" event i.e. no general public attendance.  Attendees are restricted to Members of BATANS and the NB, PEI and Cape Breton British Car Clubs, and their guests.  The featured Marque this year is Jaguar, celebrating 100 years of Jaguar and its predecessor the Swallow Sidecar company (SS Cars).

Lunch will be available for purchase from a local vendor on the Kings-Edgehill School grounds.

We have noted that people are having trouble finding accommodation for the nights of July 15 and 16 in the Windsor area.  The Organizing Committee has secured an arrangement with Kings Edgehill School to make dorm rooms available at a per night rate of $45 for a double room and $40 for a single room, HST included.  Breakfast will also be available at $15 for each morning, Saturday July 16 and Sunday July 17.

N.B. the accommodations are school dormitory rooms, not the Hilton.  Rooms are spartan, not air conditioned, and the bathrooms are communal.  You have been advised.

Please indicate as soon as possible if you are interested. To reserve a room and/or a seat for breakfast, contact Marilyn Molenaar by email at the (preferred contact method) or phone 902-750-1400 and supply the following information:
- Your name and phone number
- If booking a room
   - the type of room, single or double
   - the nights you want to stay, Friday July 15 and/or Saturday July 16
- If booking breakfast
   - the mornings you want breakfast, Saturday July 16 and/or Sunday July 17
   - the number of people having breakfast each day
Your payment(s) for the above will be collected at the registration desk when you arrive and pick up your registration package.  The main registration desk operates on Saturday July 16, special arrangements will be made for anyone arriving for a room on Friday July 15. Please bring your payment in the exact amount required to settle your “account”.

We hope the above will enable those of you have indicated you’d like to attend BMF, but the unavailability of local accommodations has been an issue for you.  Previously supplied information on registering for BMF is included below for your convenience.

If you’re planning on attending BMF 2022 we ask you to register ASAP.
A last-minute rush of registrations will complicate the process of preparing your registration package - consisting of printed Name Tags for you and your guest(s), Car Cards for display on your windshield(s), etc. – and having them ready for you to pick up on your arrival.  This is particularly true this year as our registrar has some vacation planned at the end of June/beginning of July and would like to avoid a hectic final week leading up to the show!

BATANS members can register online or by completing and mailing/emailing a printed registration form.  Members of FABAC, BMAPEI and BCCCB must use the printed registration form:

    • Login to the ClubExpress system at BATANS Website Login

At “normal” BMFs we support MADD by allowing them to have a booth at the show where they can solicit donations, from registrants and the general public, usually through a 50/50 draw.  This year, as there is no registration fee for the event, registrants may choose to make a voluntary donation to MADD via the Donate button available via this link:
