Spring Roundup 2026
About this event
Spring Roundup 2026 will be a South Shore run scheduled for Saturday May 23 (rain day Sunday May 24). It will begin in Mahone Bay at 10:30am. Tempting though a LeMans start might be, in deference to weekend traffic in the village, we will depart south on Route 3 in more orderly groups, perhaps assisted by the RCMP. We will finish in Bridgewater at ~2:30-3:00pm.
In between, we will have logged 120 kilometres; crossed the LaHave River by ferry; picnicked at Rissers Beach (if you don’t pack your own lunch, order take out from the LaHave Bakery); and passed by Lunenberg, Rose Bay, Riverport, LaHave, Petite Riviere, VoglersCove, Middlewood and Conquerall Mills. Since the La Have ferry is small, we’ll need a couple of runs to get everyone across - registration is limited to 20 cars.
Registration, through the BATANS website www.batans.ca opens Saturday May 9 at 11:00AM. As the capacity limit for this event is the number of cars, you will just register yourself, i.e. no Guest registration, Instead there will be a yes/no question "are you bringing a guest", and if you answer "yes" you will be asked to provide their name.
Further specific details, e.g. the specific meeting place in Mahone Bay, will be available after your organizers have run a recce on the proposed route.
