About this event
Thursday, October 9 is the confirmed date for this tour. The weather is forecast to be mostly sunny with cooler temperatures than we've seen in the last few days. Warm clothes and a thermos of hot tea or coffee are recommended.
We will convene at the Beaverbank-Kinsac Community Centre, 1583 Beaverbank Road at 11:30am for a 12noon start.
Coffee & fuel are amply available at the Sackville Drive/Beaverbank Road intersection, so please fill up (or empty out) before joining the group at the start.
Turning North on the Beaverbank Road out of the Community Center parking lot, our tour will take Highway 354 to Noel and Burntcoat Head Provincial Park, arriving about 1:00PM for a picnic lunch on the grounds. Full washroom facilities are available on site. Each crew is responsible for their own picnic lunch, but sharing is always possible, so please feel free to strut your culinary stuff. After lunch, there will be an opportunity to tour the lighthouse, and (depending on the tides) maybe take a stroll on the Bay of Fundy sea floor. We’re planning a stop of about 90 minutes.
After the lunch break, we head west & south on Highways 215 & 14 to Windsor, where our Tour will end about 3:30-4PM, and The Spitfire Arms is expecting BATANS for Happy Hour/dessert before we dismiss to our respective garages once again.
Registration is limited to 20 cars and will open on the website Wednesday, October 1st at 11:00am.
As the capacity limit is based on cars you will only register yourself, we don't need to know if you are bringing a guest.
As of September 23rd, all proposed roads were clear and in good nick. Looking forward to seeing you on the 9th; the season ain’t over ‘til the salt comes out, right?
